Repaglinide supply disruption notice

Out of stock until May 2021

GP practices have been advised that repaglinide 1mg and 2mg tablets are out of stock until early May 2021. There are limited quantities available of repaglinide 500 microgram tablets and Prandin (repaglinide) 500 microgram.

We have reports from members that the manufacturer, Novo Nordisk says that 1mg and 2mg tablets remain available but it appears that pharmacies are unable to obtain them from wholesalers.

If ongoing treatment is required, consideration should be given to prescribing an alternative glucose-lowering medication.
