A ‘Day Out With Diabetes’ – come and join us on Saturday, October 11th 2008

‘Half full, not half empty’ is the title of this year’s ’day out with diabetes’ which is being held at the Paragon Hotel in Birmingham.

Exterior from rightA ‘day out with diabetes’ is a brilliant way to learn about diabetes, relax in the company of people with or connected to diabetes and to share your experiences of living with or working with diabetes.

At IDDT we realise that living with diabetes is never easy but we hope that you will come away from the day with information and support that will leave you feeling more positive about living with diabetes.

There will be discussion groups where you can get involved, talks from leading physicians, exercise experts and a panel of experts that have lived with diabetes longer than they have lived without it.  Believe me, they know all the tricks of the trade and have lived through the ups and downs that are associated with diabetes.

The group discussions are planned so that each person is able to choose any two topics, so please fill in a group session box for each person attending.

The day is being held at the Paragon Hotel which is 5 minutes from Birmingham city centre so it is near to the station and if you are coming by car, the hotel has a car park. You will see that this is a one-day conference but if you wish to stay overnight on Friday and/or Saturday, you can book directly with the Paragon at a reduced rate if you say that you are 'with IDDT' - their telephone number is 0121 6270627.

It is not often that you can say this, but come along and enjoy a ‘Day out with Diabetes.’
